چکیده
The management and treatment of dental craniofacial injuries have continued to evolve throughout the last several decades. Limitations with autograft, allograft, synthetics created need for more advanced approaches in tissue engineering. Calcium phosphate cements (CPC) are frequently used repair bone defects. Since their discovery 1980s, extensive research has been conducted improve properties, emerging evidence supports increased application This review focuses on up-to-date performance calcium cement scaffolds upcoming promising regeneration strategies. First, we summarized barriers encountered CPC scaffold development. Second, compiled most up date vitro vivo literature. Then, a systematic search scientific articles MEDLINE EMBASE screen related studies. Lastly, revealed current developments effectively design track enhanced viability therapeutic efficacy overcome limitations perspectives. Finally, presented timely opportune article focusing significant potential regeneration, which will be discussed thoroughly. offers multiple capabilities that may considered toward oral defects, expecting future outlook nanotechnology performance.

Contour defects are common following primary craniofacial procedures including cranial vault remodeling, fronto-orbital and midface advancements, and complex posttraumatic reconstructions. When onlayed as fast-setting pastes, calcium phosphate cements (CPCs) have been used to effectively correct contour defects in open secondary reconstruction procedures. Here, we describe an endoscopic procedu...

Calcium phosphate cements (CPCs), using B-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP, Ca3 (P04)2), dicalcium phosphate (DCP, CaHP04), calcium carbonate (Ca CO3), and hydroxylapatite (HAp, Ca10(P04)6(OH)2) as powder cement and disodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HP04) solution as liquid component were prepared. After mixing the powder and liquid constituents, injectable and self-setting calcium phosphate cements (...
متن کاملInjectable and macroporous calcium phosphate cement scaffold.
Calcium phosphate cement (CPC) can be molded and self-hardens in vivo to form resorbable hydroxyapatite with excellent osteoconductivity. The objective of this study was to develop an injectable, macroporous and strong CPC, and to investigate the effects of porogen and absorbable fibers. Water-soluble mannitol was used as porogen and mixed with CPC at mass fractions from 0% to 50%. CPC with 0-4...

PURPOSE To evaluate the ability of macroporous tricalcium phosphate cement (CPC) scaffolds to enable the adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells derived from human bone marrow. METHODS Cells from the iliac crest of an adult human donor were processed and cultured on macroporous CPC discs. Paraffin spheres sized between 100 and 250µm were used as porogens. Cells ...
